Queensland’s anti-biking police unit has been given an expanded remit to tackle all forms of organised crime in a restructure that will make it a permanent fixture of the state’s law enforcement.

ID scanners: Few venues have committed to install systems despite clock ticking

Pubs and clubs will be handed $4000 to install ID scanners as concerns mount they will be forced to close early if they do not meet the deadline to have the machines ready to go in less than three months.
